Cooking With Linux : Ghetto Skype
Ah, Skype. For years now, it has been a hot button issue in the Linux world. Always a bridesmaid and all that . . . we’ve been promised an official and full featured client since the dawn of time and, you guessed it, we’re still waiting. Luckily, there’s the Web version of Skype which you can use in a pinch; there’s even an “alpha” client which is, frankly, the best option at this point . . . if you want to stay with ‘official’ Skype. One alternative, which I demonstrate in this video, is Ghetto Skype. Check it out, and if you like what you see, check it out by visiting the site on Github.
