Cooking With Linux, episode 4 : Installing Software

Look around just a bit and you're going to find that there are lots and lots of Linux distributions. There's also an incredible number of software packages for you to download, install, and use, and most of them are completely free. With so much at your disposal, you might be wondering where to start when it comes to installing software. Luckily, every distribution has a desire to make it as easy as possible for desktop users but, of course, they all do it a little differently. Come with me and I'll give you a tour. When I'm done, you'll see that it's not all that complicated.
